Rockford day 2

Had a great cookout Monday night in Rockford with the manalli's the Johnson's and Janice Versetti. All high school friends. And Mike Jr. and Pat did all the cooking !

My dad even made it for lunch with Amber and Gionni.

We have traveled over 1000 miles since Thursday. Carl Manalli, a high school friend is meeting us in Rockford tomorrow with the auxillary battery charger for our towed car. A really nice campground tonight with a lake and a nice breeze. No AC tonight.

4th of July in Nashville

Today started off great, an early start at 7:00 AM. Stop at rest area to start the car....dead battery! Well now what?

Fortunately we have a battery charger so started the generator on the motorhome and charged the car battery for 15 minutes. The car started right up and decided to drive the car the last 90 miles to Nashville following the motorhome. Will install a auxillary charger from the motorhome to the car battery on Monday .

Arrived just south of Nashville and fell right into a 4th of July cookout with a great band and fire works to follow.
